Dieting Demystified

It seems that everyone is determined to stay in their best shape these days. You can’t even drive down the street without seeing someone running or power walking. This need to stay in shape goes beyond exercise though; it also has most people watching what they eat. And this, of course, leads to going on diets.

Diets are extremely popular these days and there seems to be some new fad diet that comes out every other month or so. But as of late, many doctors have spoken out against fad diets—particularly ones that promise to have you dropping large amounts of weight in very little time. These sorts of diets are proof that not ALL diets are healthy. In fact, if you aren’t in great health from the start, some diets can actually be very bad for you Then of course, there are diets that are centered around calories, others on carbs and other still that are more concerned with heart healthy foods.

With so many different diets floating around out there, how are you supposed to tell which one is right for you? Not only that, but once you decide on one, there is usually an entire list of foods you can’t eat. And those you CAN eat, you usually have to eat with other bland foods. By the time you have gone grocery shopping for specially selected foods that adhere to your diet and THEN purchased the diet’s instructional material, you may stop wondering why dieting so HARD…and EXPENSIVE!

So if you want to take the uncertainty out of dieting and actually ENJOY the experience rather than dread it, check out the products on this page

Mens Clothing and The Sharp Dressed Man

Silk tie, Crisp white shirt, Leather belt and polished shoes says you know something about mens clothing if your wearing a tailored jacket and slacks. Men dress well for one reason and rock band ZZ Top revealed the secret back in 1983.

“Cause every girls crazy “Bout a Sharp Dressed Man.”

Of course, ZZ Top sang those words with some irony. With their distinct long beards, big hats and baggy clothes, band members hardly personified the sharp dressed man, even by eighties standards. Fortunately for men, but perhaps more so for women, mens clothing has evolved.

Modern mens clothing must avoid the unkempt grunge look in favor of a cleaner, more tailored, European style.

Fashion Icons and Modern Mens Clothing

If you’re uncertain where to begin, emulate your favorite male fashion icon. Despite his devil-may-care attitude, George Clooney is always ready for his close-up. The leading man singlehandedly transformed the suit into casual wear, changing mens clothes forever. Clooney usually pairs a suit with an open-collared shirt and a beautiful woman. We can help you with two of the three.

• Modernize – Don’t dust off your old prom jacket. Purchase a two or three-button suit jacket with matching trousers.
• Slim Down – Mens clothes are much less bulky today. Slacks fit exquisitely and ties are thinner. Forgo cuffs and pleats on your trousers. You want simple, sharp and elegant lines.
• Become a flasher – Relax. We’re talking about your socks. Flash a bit of ankle argyle every now and again and ladies will wonder what other surprises you’re hiding.

The Office and Mens Clothing

Always dress for the job you want, not the job you have. Dress for success. Think Nate Archibald, a la Gossip Girl, not Michael Scott – that is unless you really do want to run a paper company in Scranton, Pa. Otherwise, dress to impress:

• Go bold or go home – Don’t be afraid of color. It separates you from the anonymous drones in the office next door. If you’re not quite ready for a blue gingham shirt, even a splashy silk tie still makes a statement in mens clothing.
• Details matter – Have your initials embroidered on your cuffs or collar points. Add a pocket square that matches your tie. You’ll exude confidence and assure clients that you leave nothing to chance.

Happy Hour Time to Dress Down

Suits are day-to-evening wear. In other words, dress for the office and then later toss the tie and loosen the top three buttons on your shirt. You’re ready for a night on the town.
